Rice with shrimps, vegetables and Tahina El Rashidi El Mizan


  • 4 spoons oil
  • 1 diced onion
  • Turmeric, salt & pepper
  • 2 cups shrimps, peeled
  • ¼ cup diced carrots
  • ¼ cup diced mushroom
  • ¼ cup peas
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cups rice
  • For the Tahina:
  • 1 cup Tahina El Rashidi El Mizan
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Sal & pepper
  • Cumin
  • Chili powder
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • Juice of 2 lemons


Heat the oil in a pan, add the onion and stir, add salt, turmeric, and pepper. Add shrimps, carrots, mushroom and peas then continue stirring thoroughly. Add the water and stir well. Wait till the water simmer, then add the rice. Lower the heat and leave till it cooks.

For the Tahina:
Add Tahina El Rashidi El Mizan, garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, vinegar and lemon juice and mix with water.
Sprinkle Tahina El Rashidi El Mizan over the rice with the shrimps and vegetables
